Our staff is onsite from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week, 365 days a year - ensuring that our Lucky Dogs receive the best dog care, exercise, socialization, and TLC around the clock. Quality dog care at a facility-based rescue is just as important to the growth and well being of our dogs as veterinary care.

At Lucky Dog Refuge, we pride ourselves on giving our dogs the best experience possible, so that coming to our facility feels more like a fun camp than a “shelter”. They go for multiple walks per day, explore the city, enjoy playtime on our outside turf, learn how to be in a dog in a house with furniture, and even splash around in Mill River Park (weather permitting). Because of this, most Lucky Dogs come back to visit frequently with wagging tails and a lot of love for the staff.

We are very fortunate to have an exceptional group of talented, experienced, passionate rescuers, dog lovers, and animal advocate on the LDR Team!
